H&M Are Winning S/S22

The game is over before daylight savings time has even begun

By Scarlett Stevens

H&M are well-loved and highly regarded on our beautiful high street, and for good reason. In recent years they have upped their game considerably when it comes to creating premium-looking pieces and capsule collections. For those on a budget (or just big fans of Scandi style) they seem to never disappoint.

The brand has impressed shoppers early this year by releasing super chic spring season pieces in the chilly month of February. If like me, you tend to avoid mega-popular trends and over-saturated styles offered by high street stores, you are bound to fall in love with the elevated basics in this collection.

Basics usually have a much more premium look to them as opposed to ‘trend pieces’, as simple, neutral colours and silhouettes cost less to produce. H&M have mastered this; their selection of simple t-shirts, blazers, vests and denim, for example, seem to suit any wardrobe. It can be difficult to pinpoint truly great basic pieces for your capsule wardrobe or seasonal rotation as you want these items to be able to pair with a handful of other pieces. For this, I can highly recommend H&M, particularly their spring season pieces.
