Let loose and relax with Rare Tea Company!

Rare Tea Company is an independent company based in London. The company was founded in 2004, by Henrietta Lovell (also known as the Tea Lady), to source and supply the world's best tea - direct from farmers and their tea gardens. From humble beginnings with just a handful of devoted customers, they now collaborate with many of the world's finest chefs, restaurants, bars and hotels from Noma to Claridges.

Rare Tea Company has such a variety of loose leaf teas such as black, white, green, herbal, well-being, matcha and more. Alongside their loose tea range they also have a selection of cold infusions, teawear and beautiful gifts for friends and family.

We were lucky enough to be able to try their gorgeous whole leaf loose green tea as well as their elegant glass teapot. The whole leaf loose green tea had an outstanding quality and aroma and created a real pleasant experience when enjoying a fresh pot of green tea with a refreshing flavour. The glass teapot was not only robust but the perfect size for tea for two or a large cup and due to the stainless steel spiral in the spout, this helped to filter out the loose tea leaves and ensure that no finer leaves end up in your cup.

For every tea on their website they go into great detail on the background and location of the tea that you have selected as well as tasting notes such as the ideal temperature, time, cost per cup and even the required temperature that is recommended.

Pairing this bespoke glass teapot with a selection of chosen loose tea leaves would make the ideal gift for those who love their tea and want to explore the experience of fresh and aromatic loose tea leaves.

The Rare Tea Company also have a ‘Rare Charity’ that offers talented people within tea communities access to education and they currently operate in the Satemwa Tea Estate community in Malawi, Africa.
