Whilst leggings, tights and extra socks are the undisputed keys to dressing comfortably throughout winter, don’t make the mistake of thinking you’re stuck with wearing only oversized, practical outfits for the next few months.
Winter dressing may need a little extra planning than the throw-on shorts and dresses of summer, it’s nothing to be put off by as you can still maintain your style until the sun comes back out. Here are a few star items to keep you both cosy and stylish in the chilly weather.
Even high street brands consistently get this piece right. The cable knit is simple and can be layered with just about anything; trousers, skirts, jeans, and in that classic off-white shade it looks undeniably expensive.
Sweater vests still aren’t going anywhere, and with good reason. Layer this piece over a t-shirt, roll neck or button-up shirt for extra warmth that looks on par with Parisian style.
Effortless and easy to style, the knitted dress looks just as chic paired with trainers, chunky boots or even heels for a dressier look. This cosy piece certainly fits in to the ‘elevated loungewear’ trend whilst not being as obvious as a pair of sweatpants.
We may all be familiar with duvet coats, but their more compact sibling is worth just as much hype. Throwing on a quilted jacket ensures you’ll be comfy and warm without hiding your outfit away.
