This Brand Always Masters Seasonal Dressing

& Other Stories’ Pre-Winter Drop is a masterclass in transitional pieces

By Scarlett Stevens

& Other Stories have never let us down, have they? Based out of ateliers in Stockholm, Paris and Los Angeles, they are a brand seriously rooted in a love of fashion. Their mix of three style-forward cities allows for a blend of expressionistic styles: from the minimalistic influences of Stockholm to the effortless Parisian outfits and luxurious LA-inspired pieces.

One thing Stories are distinctly known for is their ability to always curate a perfect collection of trans-seasonal pieces. As the summer begins to wind down and the weather turns colder, as if on cue, Stories release one of their cult seasonal drops, blessing us with a sharp range of smart outerwear, stylish knits and trend-hitting accessories.

This year’s Stockholm atelier collection has already become a big hit with the fashion crowd. Titled ‘Scandi Tailoring’, the pieces take major inspiration from the biggest base points in Scandinavian style: ‘softly structured tailoring meets feminine separates and sporty, functional touches’. The collection focuses heavily on outerwear, with their Masculine Coat being cited as the centre of the range.

Overall, the collection is a clever mix of the masculine and feminine. Sporty looks have always been a key element in Scandi street style, and the last year has seen the rest of the world (finally) catching on. Pieces like down vests paired with knitted ski hoods and chic knits are a great example of their collection in action.
